Aris' journey at Moba

Building Connections and Innovation

Aris de Bruin, Head of Global Service & Customer Projects and a member of the Management Team, explains how he came to join Moba, why the technical complexity immediately fascinated him, and how he is helping to build a growing, innovative organization where pride, collaboration, and continuous improvement are central.

Looking for manufacturing companies nearby

When Aris de Bruin was looking for a new challenge near Utrecht, one thing was certain: he wanted to work in the Dutch manufacturing industry, at a company with a tangible product and a professional yet personal culture. That’s how he ended up at Moba, a global leader in solutions for the egg industry.
After just the first introductory meeting, he was impressed by how much more technology was involved than he had imagined. But just as important was the atmosphere: decisive, approachable, and no-nonsense. “That immediately gave me a good feeling.”

Pride, commitment, and a natural drive to build together

From day one, Aris noticed something: the immense pride within Moba. Pride in the product, in the technology, and in the global impact of something everyone knows: the egg. There’s a lot that goes into something as simple as getting an egg at the supermarket.
“The organization is large enough to be professional, but small enough to know many colleagues personally.” That balance fosters a team spirit where colleagues help one another and work together for the company and for the customer.
After years of working in a large company, Aris initially had to get used to the freedom at Moba. “Here, you’re less constrained and have a lot of influence. It requires strategic thinking, but also a pragmatic approach. That’s fun to do!”

Continuous improvement as second nature

Aris brings a strong technical and business background to the table. After earning his degree in Industrial Engineering and Management at Eindhoven University of Technology, he spent 18 years at VanderLande. There, he grew alongside the company, progressing from IT and ERP implementations to more than a decade of service experience within what has since become an international organization with 10,000 employees. That broad experience is a perfect fit for Moba’s transition to a modern, project-driven organization. “Tomorrow’s success is what you improve today,” says Aris. “I’m happy to bring that mindset of continuous improvement with me.”

Leadership with Impact

Since its inception, Aris has focused primarily on organizing projects, processes, and tools in a smarter, more efficient, and more effective way. Not by working harder, but by working smarter.
He also plays an important role on the Management Team. Why does he enjoy being an MT member? Because at Moba, at this level, you can really make a difference. “We determine the direction together and implement it together as well. You don’t find that kind of influence and involvement everywhere.”

What inspires Aris is that Moba builds systems that are essential to its customers’ success. “The product is at the heart of their operations. That makes it something to be proud of.”

He uses Moba’s vision and strategy as clear guidelines for discussions within his teams, to provide direction, drive improvements, and continue adding value. Aris sees his role as connecting teams, removing obstacles, and supporting people in actually bringing their ideas to life. “Helping with that is truly rewarding.”

“Tomorrow’s success depends on what you improve today”

Why work at Moba?

According to Aris, the answer is simple:
“You’ll be working on an innovative, relevant product that makes a global impact. You’ll join an organization where there’s still plenty of room for improvement and growth. With colleagues who are approachable, engaged, and motivated. In an environment where work and personal life remain well-balanced—and where you can easily take a walk in the woods during your lunch break.”

“If you love technology, seizing opportunities, and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and get to work, you can really make a difference here.”
