When Manel Harrabi moved to the Netherlands five years ago, she was looking for new challenges, personal growth, and the chance to broaden her horizons. That ambition eventually led her to Moba. From Tunisia to the Netherlands

Technology has always played a role in Manel’s life. She studied electrical engineering and then went on to specialize in automation. During her studies, software became increasingly important, and she soon discovered that programming was her passion. After graduating, she worked as a consultant in various sectors, where she was involved in a range of small-scale projects. Five years ago, shortly after the COVID-19 pandemic, she moved to the Netherlands. “I wanted to continue my professional development, explore the world, and take on new challenges.”

An Impressive First Impression
Manel came into contact with Moba through a recruitment agency. She did some research and quickly discovered that the organization offered everything she was looking for: complex technical products, innovation, and plenty of opportunities to learn. “When I saw the Omnia egg sorter, my decision was made in an instant. It’s so impressive—truly amazing! It was new to me, and I was eager to learn how the process behind it worked.”

The software she develops actually comes to life in a machine. “It’s very rewarding to see how software ultimately works on a real machine.” According to Manel, Moba offers plenty of opportunities to learn and discover new technologies. As an engineer, she gets the chance to explore many more aspects of technology than she had initially expected.

One of the biggest challenges in her work is introducing new technologies. How do you ensure that colleagues see the benefits and become enthusiastic about change? That requires not only technical knowledge, but also collaboration and persuasiveness. At many companies, that’s not a given.” That freedom motivates her to keep learning and looking for ways to improve.
