Your role
We are looking for an experienced strategic purchaser for our procurement department. The challenge in this position lies in improving and strengthening our purchasing at a strategic level. For almost 80 years, Moba has been creating total solutions for sorting, packing, and processing eggs that are sold all over the world. Over the years, Moba has grown into a global market leader with systems in 111 different countries, processing more than 1 billion eggs every day. From design, development, production, and installation to service, it all happens in Barneveld.
As a Strategic Purchaser, you are responsible for our purchasing policy. Together with a few direct colleagues, you will develop our strategic purchasing policy and act as a link between the various stakeholders within and outside the organization. By actively providing support early on in our processes, you will ensure that purchasing specifications are quickly clarified.
What other specific tasks can you think of?
• Handling procurement processes from start to finish and immediately jumping into ongoing processes;
• Leading cross-functional team projects related to specifying/managing standard solutions;
• Managing our third-party suppliers;
• Managing standards and rolling out solutions within the organization and providing information to sales, service, R&D, and Product Management;
• Making suitable supplier choices through market research and a thorough selection process, including the associated negotiations;
• Developing supplier agreements, such as financial and logistical supplier conditions;
• Developing and implementing category strategy;
• Managing new introductions and changes in the external supply chain;
• You will make agreements with suppliers regarding "performance improvement" and monitor these based on the QLTC principle;
• Presenting project progress to the Portfolio Board;
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of processes within purchasing, development, and sell-and-deliver processes.

What we ask of you
- HBO/WO degree in supply chain/logistics management;
- Approximately 5 years of relevant work experience at an international and technical company;
- You are able to independently develop strategies (e.g., the commodity strategy);
- Familiar with automation systems (ERP system);
- Experience in an industrial (mechanical engineering) environment is an advantage;
- Good command (spoken and written) of the Dutch and English languages.
