Your role
We are looking for a Hardware Engineer for our R&D department. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team and will work on the development of our egg sorting and packaging machines. For almost 80 years, Moba has been creating total solutions for sorting, packaging, and processing eggs that are sold all over the world. Over the years, Moba has grown into a global market leader with systems in 111 different countries, processing more than 1 billion eggs every day. From design, development, production, and installation to service, it all happens in Barneveld.
As a Hardware Engineer, you are responsible for the development and maintenance of machine controls. What kind of work does that involve specifically?
• Developing modular and configurable solutions by converting (complex) technical designs into electrical drawings. Naturally, all within the specified specifications and quality requirements;
• Verification and validation of the design, including through simulations, test executions, and reviews;
• Preparing and maintaining product documentation such as user manuals, material lists, and revision management;
• Proposing and implementing improvements to the current R&D working method, e.g., implementing standardization.
For a senior engineer with the right ambitions, there is also the possibility (in the long term) to take on additional responsibilities as a team leader.
As a team leader, you play an important role in improving work processes, gaining better insight into planning, and guiding your team members to an even higher level.

What we ask of you
- Higher vocational education (HBO) level of working and thinking, preferably in electrical engineering;
- You have already taken the first steps in your career as a hardware engineer;
- Knowledge of and recent experience with the Ecad package EPLAN;
- Commitment and passion in the implementation of the chosen solution;
- Knowledge and experience of standards and guidelines is an advantage;
- Good command of spoken and written Dutch and English.
